The GT14-6 combines the space and performance of a large kiln with the convenience of 120V operation. The GT14-6 is very capable and offers the full range of firing operations. Slump it, paint it, fuse it, anneal it. A wonderful kiln for the beginner.

The GT14-6 is equipped with the Rampmaster II, a fully programmable, automatic temperature controller capable of controlling all ramping and temperature hold functions.

Control Options

Develop your own firing programs using the Ramp Mode Programming Feature. You determine How Fast, to What Temp and for How Long. The RampMaster II gives you this power and more. Program the perfect fusing and annealing profile or that one-of-a-kind specialty glaze firing using the Ramp Mode Programming feature. This is absolutely perfect for glass firing.

Ramp Mode Programming offers six individual programs, the contents of which, are defined by you, the user. Each of the six programs allows for up to eight firing segments. A segment is simply a grouping of: rate of temperature increase or decrease, a set point temperature and soak, if desired. So, get busy and develop that special firing program. The RampMaster II can do the work!!

Delay the actual start time of the firing using the Delay Start feature. This is great when electrical rates are lower at different times of the day or when it's just too darn hot to fire a kiln.

Firing Chamber Dimensions and Options:

14.5" diameter x 6.5" deep - 0.70 cubic feet, (37cm long x 16.5cm deep - 20 litres).

Voltage and Phase Considerations:

The GT 14-6 is designed to work from a typical 120V household receptacle 12A, 1440W.

Suitability:

The GT 14-6 is quite capable of all glass related firing up to 1650°F (900°C), such as painting, fusing, slumping, annealing, etc..

It should also be noted at this point, that the GT 14-6  is designed to fire a single layer or shelf. The nature of the GT 14-6  is to provide heat from the lid elements directly to the shelf containing the glass. Attempting to fire glass below the top shelf is likely to lead to frustration and disappointment. So.....one shelf only. 

The GT 14-6  is not really designed to fire Ceramic, Porcelain, Pottery, China or other "ceramic" related materials.
