Bullseye THINFIRE Shelf Paper

This heat-resistant, light weight ceramic impregnated paper, provides excellent separation between kin shelf and glass in kiln firing applications up to 1600°F. Paper is .008” thick. Thinfire has numerous benefits when compared to more conventional ceramic fiber material. Compared to conventional kiln washes, Thinfire reduces shelf preparation time and improves surface release quality. A single layer of paper will prevent molten glass from sticking to your shelf at full fuse. Sheets are 20” x 20”.

1/8” Fiber Shelf Paper

Used as a fusing surface, it eliminates the need for shelf primer. Light tan paper is clay filled, sheeted ceramic fiber paper which is denser and more rigid than other fiber paper. It cannot be rolled or molded. Rated to 2300°F with an operating temperature of 1900°F. Like most fiber papers it has a different texture on each side. Can be cut fairly easily. Pre-firing to 1400°F to burn off binder is recommended. Paper will last for many firing until it is removed from the kiln. Sheets are 24” x 21”.

Lava Cloth (Kiln Shelf Linen)

This cloth applies a unique textured finish to the back side of Hot Glass work. Eliminates the need for kiln wash or shelf paper. Cloth does not stick to glass, kiln shelves, kiln bricks, or fiber board. Place directly on firing surface, then place glass on cloth and fuse. It’s that simple. Lava Cloth lasts through many firings.
